Collection: Vintage Jacket and Coat – upcycling

Jacket, vintage coat – always sought-after gems from my travels, both near and far. Unique pieces from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s that stand out with their exceptional quality and design. These first vintage treasures of mine, outerwear that I began wearing and using first, evaluating their style, shapes, cuts, and materials. A few coats and leather jackets have stayed with me to this day, and I’m sure they will last at least as long as they’ve been in circulation... that is, at least 30 years.

Rarely encountered fabrics like wool, cashmere, thicker viscose linings, in a word, sometimes heavy, thick coats for harsh winters, revealed a quality and style that’s hard to find today on store racks.

The moment came when I began to repair, cut, play with the construction, replace linings, and add various elements such as fabrics and buttons. For leather jackets, I started hand-sewing and machine-sewing different appliqués.

"Details for vintage" is where there’s truly a vast field for stimulating creativity, which is why I am actively working with upcycling in my CREATIVE SEWING WORKSHOP in GDYNIA.

Who doesn’t look for an oversized coat today? A short leather jacket from the 80s? A long black coat?

What’s next? I usually freshen up such a coat or jacket in a dry cleaner. For leather, I repair, replace snaps, zippers, linings, "condition," and impregnate it.

The cut and form of the jackets and coats are mostly "OVERSIZE."
